Gold Plated Good Times at YAD Montreal’s 007 Gala

YAD Montreal’s third annual fundraising gala took place at the Loft Hotel in the heart of downtown last Saturday with a very notable guest list of young entrepreneurs, philanthropists, artists, restaurateurs, partygoers and connoisseurs. The event was jammed-packed with James Bond paraphernalia, including a real life Casino Royal and a room decorated as an authentic film set. Secret agents were making their way through the crowd and beautiful seductresses were emanating from the ceiling in an arabesque way.

And if that wasn’t enough, DJ Adrian Mitchel and Maddie Ross kept the partygoers on the dance floor all night long with throwback songs. Meanwhile, Bond-inspired cocktails (shaken or stirred) were offered upstairs right by the Mont-Blanc lounge in a lush setting filled with chandeliers and gold couches.

Amidst the bouchés, amazing live performances by the magnificent singer Sara Diamond and talented marching drummers was a cinema room (with popcorn of course) for those who needed a break from their seven-inch heels or to bring it back down to neutral.

But as YAD campaign chair Steve Sebag said beyond all the glitz and glam, “This party isn’t just about dressing up as super agents; it’s also about stepping up and being agents for change.” Proceeds will be used by YAD Montreal to provide relief to the community’s most vulnerable members while supporting initiatives that contribute to a more vibrant Montreal Jewish community.
