It’s that time of year.
Sky-high heels. 4am last calls. Well-dressed people everywhere.
That’s right, Toronto’s World MasterCard Fashion Week is once again set to take over the city.
And naturally, one of the shows we’re most pumped about is the beloved outerwear brand Mackage. Let’s just say there’s nowhere we’d rather be on October 22nd.
After all, when it’s created with the belief that outerwear’s an integral element of fashion (and not simply an afterthought), a Mackage coat isn’t just a part of an outfit – it becomes the outfit itself. Seriously, it’s pretty much all you need.
Young designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan launched Mackage in 1999 and it has since grown to become one of the most prestigious contemporary outerwear brands in North America – not to mention a perennial favourite among celebrities. Halle Berry, Eva Mendes, Blake Lively, and the Kardashians have all worn Mackage for years.
Clearly, we’ll be front and centre at the show; we can’t wait to see what the ever-growing brand has in store for spring.
But what’s a fashion show without an after-party?
That’s why there’s the Mackage x Notable Fashion Week After Party later that evening at Wednesday night staple EFS (647 King Street W). The exclusive guest list will include an assortment of impeccably dressed event circuit regulars, entertainment and media figures, models, fashion bloggers, and, of course, the Mackage team as they toast the success of their SS15 show.
And since no Fashion Week party is complete without Maybelline New York, they’ll be sponsoring the Mackage X Notable party, delivering their ‘it’ factor to all in attendance.
Adding a sense of urban edge and spirited style to the fabric of any fashion-worthy scene, you’ll have a chance to win Maybelline New York products, pose in a mirror dedicated to impromptu but necessary ‘selfie’ sessions, and have Maybelline New York show you how to be #Bornwithit.
Other notable perks from this season’s after party will include DJ Chelsea Leyland from NYC, neon air-brush tattoos, ample bottle service booths and – wait for it – an arcade “claw machine” with great premium prizes.
Word of advice: don’t book any early morning meetings – the party starts late (11:30pm) and ends early (as in, 4am).
*Please note that we are no longer accepting guest list requests as the guest list is now full.
