Mathletes around the world know March 14th as Pi Day simply due to it’s numeric date, 3.14 – the first few numbers that make up the mathematic constant, pi. Many pizza and pie places across Toronto are choosing to celebrate the holiday with special pricing on signature items, from personal pizzas to slices!

1. Pizza Pizza
- Canada’s favourite pizza joint is dishing out a deal of their own for Pi Day. Pizza Pizza is offering $3.14 small cheese and pepperoni pizzas from 11a.m. to a fitting 3:14p.m. Za lovers can also ONLY access the deal via www.pizzapizza.ca and the Pizza Pizza mobile app with the code PIDAY. The only catch is you’re limited to one discounted pie per order so you might have to do a couple transactions to capitalize on this deal!
2. Pizza Nova
Competitively, pizza chain Pizza Nova is also serving a deal of their own – $3.14 slices from open ’till close! Any slice at all, including their yummy gourmet and vegan options! You also have a chance to win a $25 Pizza Nova gift card on their Twitter right now but better act fast! Contest – and deal – ends March 14th.

3. Pi Co.
One of Toronto’s hottest and debatably tastiest pizza shops, Pi Co., is celebrating Pi Day in an amazing way: $3.14 build-your-own personal pizzas from 12p.m. to 3:14p.m.! Whether you want a savoury margherita pizza or a sweet Nutella pie, PiCo is serving them up hot and fresh at their 3 locations across the city – 1200 Bay St. in Yorkville, 2177 Yonge St. in Midtown and 170 University in the Financial District. Gluten-free pizzas are unfortunately not included in the deal – so celiacs, beware. Though we can’t promise there won’t be a line at the Pi Co. of your choice, we can guarantee some awesome giveaways like a $150 Pi Co. gift card, free Pi Co. for a year, and free Pi Co. pop sockets for all attendees! 4. Blaze Pizza
Lebron James’ favourite pizza place will be offering a great deal on their already amazing pizzas – unlimited toppings at any time of the day for $3.14! The popular downtown spot will be serving up discounted, custom made pizzas from open to close at 10 Dundas St. Blaze is not only delicious but extremely fast, popping out their pizzas in a total of 5-10 minutes from start to finish. At under $5, March 14th’s lunch is a no-brainer if you’re in the downtown core. Don’t walk – run.
5. The Rolling Pin
A Pi Day list wouldn’t be complete without a sweet addition. Midtown’s Rolling Pin at 1970 Avenue Road is getting in on the Pi Day action with $3.14 slices of pie all day long! Sample some sweet classics like apple, cherry and pumpkin to the seriously unique like birthday cake, ‘smores and the to-die-for mini-egg cheesecake!
6. Pie Squared
Who said pie day is just for pizza and sweet pies? Not Pie Squared! This classic pie shop is serving up any of its savoury hand pies like bacon, egg, cheddar, Guinness, beef, and potato for a mere $3.14. If you’re in the mood for something shepardsy, you can hit up one of their many locations: 366 Bloor Street East, 333 Bay Street in the Bay/Adelaide Centre or their shop at Yorkdale Mall.
