Apple CEO Tim Cook is Giving All His Money to Charity

The title says it all.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has publically pledged to donate his massive fortune to philanthropic causes – after paying for his nephew’s university tuition, of course.

In 2010, Bill and Melinda Gates launched The Giving Pledge, a program that “asks the world’s wealthiest individuals and families to dedicate the majority of their wealth to philanthropy.”

And while Cook doesn’t seem to be officially joining The Giving Pledge, he is aligning with them where it counts.

Currently worth somewhere in the hundreds of millions of dollars range, Cook’s tenure as CEO at Apple has seen a huge rise in the company’s worth. If Apple continues to dominate the tech industry, Cook’s commitment could easily end of translating to billions and billions of dollars for charities and philanthropic causes.

Now that’s what we call iGiving.
