You Can Catch Live Comedy at Casa Loma All Month Long

You can now get your comedy fix in a castle.

If you’re a fan of quality live comedy (and, really, who isn’t?), you can enjoy it every Wednesday night for the rest of August with one of Toronto’s most iconic and stunning venues, Casa Loma, as the backdrop.

Casa Loma – Toronto’s famed Gothic Revival-style sprawling mansion – launched their Just For Laughs Comedy at the Castle on July 25, featuring live comedy performances from some of the best in the business. They will continue with shows each Wednesday evening (starting at 7:30) until August 29.

The series has some big-name comedic talent attached to it, with a roster of elite performers throughout the festival, including Alonzo Bodden, Greg Proops, Robert Kelly, Jessica Kirson, John Heffron, K. Trevor Wilson, Graham Chittendan, and more.

In addition to the LOLs, guests can also enjoy pre-show cocktails on the venue’s stunning terrace, and (delicious) gourmet grub that includes full-service dining in the Pavillion and gardens during the show, as well as more casual service at the grab-and-go and gelato stand. Menu items include things like a well-curated cheese plate, the Black Tiger Shrimp Spring Roll, a Homemade Vegetable Samosa, Kansas City Pulled Pork Poutine, and Fish Tacos, to name a few.

The show is free with the purchase of a general admission ticket ($30), which can be bought on-site or online in advance. Guests are free to explore the storied building either before or after the show. The castle is open late on Wednesdays, keeping its doors open until 10 pm.

The event takes place rain or shine. Seating isn’t guaranteed, so arrive early for the best views – and, naturally, for the ample pre-show photo ops.
