TIFF is Bringing Back The 90s With Their Latest Retrospective

Or, if you’re unlucky enough to find yourself on the younger side of the YP label, you just might have missed out on the glory that was 90s teen movies.

Well, it’s time to remedy that. And TIFF is here to help.

Their Back to the 90s series that kicked of October 10th – and runs until December 26th – will return you to the favourite Hollywood moments from your youth.

Over the next few months, these are the movies you can catch on the big screen all over again, starting tonight with the very Halloween appropriate The Craft.

The Craft (October 31)
Teen witches come together to harness their newfound power, but like many teenage girls tend to do, they eventually turn on each other.

10 Things I Hate About You (November 14)
If there were ever an example of a teen movie done right, this is it. Joseph Gordon Levitt and the late Heath Ledger both got their start here.

Reality Bites (November 21)
This early 90s film has a major cult following to this day for good reason. Check out Ethan Hawke and Wynona Ryder in their early days, in Ben Stiller’s directorial debut.

Romeo + Juliet (November 28)
There shall never be a more fulfilling adaptation of Shakespeare’s most beloved story than casting Leo as Romeo when we were in our prime Leo loving, hormonal teenager years.

Can’t Hardly Wait (December 5)
Perpetuating the idea that geeky guys can get Jennifer Love Hewitt since 1997.

Cruel Intentions (December 12)
As young impressionable pre-teens we learned a whole lot about how the world works from this film. Remember when Ryan and Reese were the ‘it’ couple? Us too.

Empire Records (December 19)
Every music nerd born in the 80s stakes some claim to this being one of their favourite films. Liv Tyler and Renee Zellwegger help round out the cast of youth that rally to keep their local indie music store from closing.

Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (December 26)
If you’re gearing up for your 10 (or 20) year high school reunion, this buddy comedy will show you how not to prepare.
