Interested in the local music scene? Check out the Mountain of Food Festival at Webber Academy Performing Arts Centre (1515 93 St SW) Saturday afternoon. Hosted by local musicians Brent Tyler and Kirby Sewell, this is an afternoon of live music in support of the Calgary Food Bank. Bring a case of non-perishable food items to help build a mountain.

Love Andy Warhol? MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art Calgary), 800 Macleod Trail SE, presents the Athlete Series, with an opening reception. Comprised of 10 Warhol paintings, it features portraits of Muhammed Ali, O.J. Simpson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to name a few. View the art first-hand, and enjoy the numerous entertaining events associated with the opening including live music, YYC Food Trucks, and a pop-up cocktail bar.

Sunday, we have a couple different options for you. For those who have wedding bells in their near future, then you need to check out the Bridal Fantasy Fair. The fastest growing fair of its kind in Alberta, it will feature a professionally choreographed fashion show and an eclectic mix of exhibitors. Meet wedding specialists and get all sorts of ideas for your big day.

Then check out the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour taking place at various venues around Calgary from January 13 – 20. This international film competition brings you a variety of short films and documentaries about mountain culture, sports, and the environment. Now in its 33rd year, this is the perfect opportunity to see some of the best and most exciting films from the sold out 2012 Banff Mountain Film Festival, which took place in Banff last October.
