Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: May 20, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do on the first day of a four-day week.*

Panda Bear
Where: Opera House
When: 8:00pm

Panda Bear is actually just one guy, musician Noah Benjamin Lennox. And he calls himself that because he started out drawing panda bears for his album artwork – for real. If he wasn’t a founding member of Animal Collective and hadn’t collaborated with the likes of Daft Punk, we might be a little more hesitant to recommend his experimental sounds.

Pop-Up Shop
Where: 944 Queen St. W.
When: 7:00pm

Everyone loves a pop-up. It’s like being timed to do something when you were a kid – only that thing is shopping. Items from both Fitzroy Boutique and Jayu will be on sale on Queen W. for just the next nine days. Think clutches, jewelry, and full summer wardrobes. Ready? Ok, go. We bet you can’t do it in less than two hours.

Too Much Information
Where: CBC, 25 John St
When: 5:30pm

Canada’s best comedians are getting together to film a half hour panel show exclusively for Super Channel. It’s going to be edgy, profane, and entirely without limits – in other words, funny. Best of all, tickets are free. If you want to start off your week with a laugh (we can’t believe we’re saying this), better head over to the CBC.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in ‘cause, well, nature
