Today’s Notable 3some in Toronto: February 19, 2014

Here’s a trio of the hottest things you can do on this glorious Hump Day.*

Revolving Tables
Where: The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, 60 Yorkville Ave.
When: 5:30pm Reception/6:30pm Dinner and Program

Presented by the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) Next Generation, Revolving Tables is a social and networking event that’ll host over 250 young professionals (YPs). Its aim is simple: to raise awareness and funds for ICRF while providing an evening of great food, professional growth, and social exchange. A three-course meal and cocktails should loosen your tongue when it comes time to interact with professional mentors, trendsetters, top Canadian CEOs, executives, philanthropists, and celebrities that you’d otherwise need a security pass and a pat down just to get close to.

Blue Rodeo
Where: Massey Hall
When: 8:00pm

This is like seeing Canada in concert. Blue Rodeo turned 25 last year and they’re celebrating by heading out on a coast-to-coast tour in 2014. As an added bonus, hitting up their In Our Nature Tour will get you a free copy of their latest album titled, you guessed it, In Our Nature. It may not be May, but we’d happily spend five days with these guys anytime – let alone one night at Massey Hall.

Mustapha the Poet
Where: Daniels Spectrum, 585 Dundas St E.
When: 7:00pm

This kid is kind of a big deal. He may only be 17, but he’s already an accomplished spoken word artist, actor, and emcee. He’s been featured in The Toronto Star and The Walrus for his ability to poignantly and powerfully capture everything from youth empowerment to immigration. He’s also performed alongside the likes of Margaret Atwood and Broken Social Scene. If you want to see youth in action, Mustapha is one of the best Canada has to offer.

*Of course, no one would blame you for staying in all night to figure out how to get something out of nothing.
