There’s a new piece of luggage that may be the most effective and efficient yet – and it has nothing to do with secret pockets.

The futuristic suitcase travels up to 13 km/h and can last three hours on a single charge. Within a month, it had more than tripled its initial crowdfunding target of $50,000 USD.

Other perks of the bag include a GPS (say goodbye to lost luggage), LED lights, and USB charging points. As an added bonus, it complies with carry-on regulations. The only thing it won’t help you with are those delayed flights and long line-ups (for the latter, that’s where Nexus comes in).

Of course, if everyone gets one, the airport could quickly become a chaotic arena of rage-fuelled luggage drivers (especially at the world’s busiest airports). Given its steep price tag – the bag is priced at $995 USD – it will perhaps luckily avoid mass audience consumption when it is introduced to the market.
