The Walrus Talks Bring Everything Vice to Calgary

It’s time to drop your inhibitions so we can talk taboo.

On January 29th, things are going to get a little naughty at The Walrus Talks. And whether you’re a goodie two-shoes or a bad ass, you’ll be thrilled with the show that’s coming to town. Run by one of Canada’s most thought provoking organizations, this is an up close and personal look at the topic of vice.

Covering a variety of unmentionables that you wouldn’t dare bring up at the dinner table, the panel includes: Dave Bidini of the Rheostatics – an expert on the vice of rock n’roll, Calgary’s Swerve Magazine founder Shelley Youngblut – who’ll be talking gambling, Viviane Namaste – a professional with a focus on bisexuality, and Jim Pfaus– the man with the cure for something called ‘desire disorders’.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Anyone concerned about being a weekend warrior will want to see Ann Dowsett Johnston present. An award winning journalist and respected academic, Dowsett will share some personal insight into binge drinking and the modern day dilemma of booze. Taking inspiration from her own personal struggles with alcohol, she’s written the novel and memoir called ‘Drink’.

The 2015 line up is sure to keep us enthralled with dirty talk and licentious details, but the real headliner will be Ashley Madison’s controversial figurehead Noel Biderman.

Known in some circles as ‘the most hated man on the internet’, the supposed ‘King of Infidelity’ is responsible for the online dating site geared toward married men.

While Biderman isn’t winning any popularity contests, he has gained a great deal of exposure appearing at TEDx events and has even showing up on Dr. Phil to share his ideas as to why it’s okay to date after marriage. Love or hate him, his talk is sure to be engaging.

This event will definitely sell out so don’t wait to get your tickets
