Our Favourite Greek Restaurants in Montreal

Montrealers loves their Greek Cuisine. With a plethora of options in terms of Greek dining experiences, it can be tough sometimes to narrow it down to a handful of the most olive-icious ones. After much deliberation, here are what we at Notable think are the best ones to visit. And when we say visit, we suggest that becoming a regular at any of them wouldn’t be a bad idea…in fact, it’d probably make Aphrodite feel pretty loved.

Faros362 Fairmont West
This Outrement neighbourhood Greek restaurant serves up the best and freshest Greek food in the city…bar none! With its Athens/boathouse style atmosphere, you will feel whisked away to the Greek Islands while you feast on the most authentic Greek food in the city. From their traditional Greek salad (with the best feta around), to the Octopus plate, your appetizers will start you off right. Then try any of their fresh fish of the day, all served with a side of simple rice and steamed vegetables. Oh! And ask for a side of tzatziki.

Estiatorio Milos5357 Parc
Restaurant owner Costas Spiliadis started his fleet of Greek restaurants with his Montreal opening of Milos in 1979. The emphasis at Estiatorio (which means upscale restaurant) Milos, also located in Outrement, is on fresh, clean flavors and the best quality product that can be found. The fish, where possible, is local and always fresh, their salads are all crisp and refined, and their savoury pastries (like spanakopita) are pristine! It’s very fancy here, so dress accordingly.

Le Jardin de Panos521 Duluth East
This plateau family restaurant is hard to miss with its white-painted brick and wood framed windows. Known for its terrace (it’s in the name), this spot has a simple yet wonderful menu (and as authentic as you can get). Our favourites are the fried calamari and the lamb chops. All dishes come with salad and roasted potatoes. Have we mentioned that it’s BYOB? What can be better?

Rotisserie Panama789 Jean Talon West
Don’t let the name fool you, this is as Greek as it gets. Located in Parc X, this restaurant emphasizes sliced roasted lamb, summer squash, and fried eggplant. Also notable for its souvlaki and brochettes (don’t miss their grilled specialties either), they boast a wide Greek wine menu to aid in providing you an unforgettable authentic Greek dining experience.
