Art Battle 141 (Friday, May 23rd, 928 Main Street)
It’s live, competitive painting at its best and it all goes down this Friday at a new venue: the Electric Owl. Don’t miss Woman2Warrior, a non-timed run covering about 5km of trails, track, and grass around Burnaby Central Park and Swangard Stadium. Sign up solo or grab some girlfriends (each person must raise a minimum $300 to participate). This fun (and sometimes muddy) event is filled with prizes, awards and a sweet after party for all fundraisers and finishers. If you’re not competing, you can still cheer on the participants.
