Station 16 Gallery presents an unprecedented exhibition featuring the large-scale collages of Alan Ganev, captivating artworks that challenge our way of understanding contemporary collage practice, opening to the public today. Make Me Care” is an exhibition for which Ganev re-appropriated and deconstructed found imagery to capture, in simple visual compositions, the complexity of feelings and emotions attached to meaningful personal experiences. As a curator, he has been responsible of creating exhibitions at prestigious locations such as the Conseil des Arts de Montreal and the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design of Costa Rica. This is a wonderful exhibit for those of us that have a heart for art.

There’s a new restaurant in Little Italy, and with a name like “Manitoba,” you know there has to be some good old Canadiana on the menu. Built inside a woodshop-to-be, this cozy and West Coast-reminiscent space offers a unique menu made up of plants and wild mushrooms, seafood, game, smoked fish, cocktails and much more. Oh yeah, and the backyard will become a garden in the summertime – we love the organic vibe!

SUNDAY
Right in the heart of Little Italy, Matinee Brunch Montreal will be “DOIN’ IT THE ITALIAN WAY” Part II with their famous resident DJs Toddy Flores and Danny Torrence both intertwining their skills between the smoothest of old school jams and heart-pounding house tracks. Brama will be hosting this daytime affair full of happy Montrealers celebrating the end of winter, popping champagne bottles, dancing on tables and feasting on some fine Italian food. La dolce vita!

Beats? Crepes? Both at the same time? Yes indeed, thanks to Spanel.
