Delicacy by Kat Sandler returns to the stage as part of Summerworks 2013, August 8 – 18th, at the Lower Ossington Theatre. This is a must-see for the typical Toronto young professional (YP), theatre-lover or not. The premise? A wealthy Yorkville couple meets a younger, open-minded couple at an underground sex club. Two weeks later, they invite them back to their condo for wine and cheese, but what ensues is a emotional and comedic rollercoaster that leaves both couples (and the audience) wondering if marriage is all it’s cracked up to be. In exploring modern day young, urban life, the play touches upon both foodie and condo culture and takes up issues of race, class and other sometimes messy complexities of our young, crazy, fast-paced lives.
