Apple Aiming to Release an Electric ‘Apple Car’ as Early as 2019

iPad and iPhone, meet iCar.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Apple is looking to release its first car as early as 2019.

Named ‘Project Titan’, the development team currently consists of 600 people, but the tech company now plans to triple the number of people on the project in order to fast-track development.

Sources say the company is referring to this as a ‘committed project’, so Apple fans should be hopeful – though we’re fairly skeptical of a 2019 release date.

While it’s unclear whether Apple is attempting to release a self-driving car, the best guess right now is that the first model won’t be, though it will be electric.

Let’s just hope they get the Maps function right this time.
