This is How You Find Out Your Uber Passenger Rating

Ever wonder why you find yourself stranded without an Uber more than anyone you know? It could have something to do with your ratings.

In case you weren’t aware, it’s not just the passengers who give out ratings on Uber.

Last year, word got out that Uber drivers were discreetly rating the people they pick up – presumably, the good, bad, ugly…and the very drunk.

What isn’t common knowledge is that it’s actually pretty easy to see how well you fare as a passenger. All it takes is a little navigation through the app’s settings.

Much like the way we rate the drivers, the passenger rating system uses a one through five scale (five being the best). It was adopted by the company to inform drivers about what they can expect when they pick up passengers.

In theory, this can even affect whether they want to pick them up in the first place.

“After each trip, riders and drivers are given the opportunity to rate one another based on their trip experience,” Uber notes. “The rating system works to make sure that the most respectful riders and drivers are using Uber. Ratings are always reported as averages, and neither riders nor drivers will see the individual rating left for a particular trip.”

If you can handle the potential hit (there was that one time you and your friends had that rowdy ride, and that other time when you were late and a little rude, after all).

Here’s a look at how to find your rating:

– Open the Uber app
– Click the Profile section located at the top left
– Select ‘Help’
– Pick ‘Account’
– Choose ‘I’d like to know my rating’
– Agree to ‘know my rating’
– Check your email for a full report

Once you receive your report, you can then drive yourself crazy for the remainder of the day as you evaluate what you could have done wrong as an Uber user and vow to become a better person the next time you click open the app.
