A Swedish Author Says His Children’s Book Can Make Anyone Fall Asleep

Swedish author Carl-Johan Forssem Ehrlin has written a book that could soon be as important to parenting as Wet-Naps.

Ehrlin, who is also a life coach, mixed sleeping techniques well known to psychologists and hypnotherapists – like repetition and suggestion – into his narrative for “The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep,” a children’s story that’s about exactly what the title suggests. The book’s cover promises it can make anyone fall asleep and even contains a warning not to read it near someone driving a vehicle.

Parents are instructed to read italicized words in a “slow and calm voice,” while words in bold should be emphasized. Some parents have even reported getting sleepy themselves while reading it.

Almost half of the book’s reviews on Amazon give it a five-star rating, with comments that range from “it worked, it actually worked” to “works as advertizzzzzzz…….”

Others, meanwhile, said most children probably just fall asleep because they are bored to death, to which every parent will probably say “whatever works.”

Let’s make this book mandatory on flights, shall we?
