9 Reasons Sundays are Better When You’re in a Relationship

Sundays and relationships are practically synonymous.

On the flip side, being single on Sundays can be a tad depressing at times, especially when among the handholding couples in the grocery store.

Not to dwell on the negative, here are 9 reasons why Sundays are better when you have a significant other to share them with.

1. There’s More Time for Morning Sex
And by that, we mean all-day sex. After all, you’ve got nowhere to be.

2. You Have Help With Your Hangover
Whether it’s to bring you Advil and Gatorade, or hold back your hair while you’re hanging off the toilet, being in a relationship on Sundays means you always have help in the hangover department. And if you’re both practically bound for the emergency room, well, at least you have company in your misery.

3. You Have a Sunday Funday Partner in Crime
The possibilities for Sundays are endless; our cities are full of Sunday Funday options – everything from sporting events and festivals, to an art exhibit.

4. You Have the Whole Day
As opposed to a midweek “date night,” the best thing about Sundays is that you can spend more time with the other person than any other day of the week (Saturdays are more chaotic than relaxing) – whether you spend the day in bed, or on a marathon date in the park.

5. You Always Have a Brunch Date When You’re Craving Eggs Benny
Remember when you were single and would wake up with a killer craving for a quality eggs benny, but all of your friends were occupied with their significant others? Because you felt lame going alone, you had to settle for your own homemade breakfast – and it just wasn’t the same? Now you don’t have to worry about that.

6. You Can Feel Less Guilty About a Netflix Binge
Because you have someone right there beside you in sweatpants who is also shamelessly indulging in a quality HBO marathon and pizza with extra cheese. Even if you don’t move from the couch all day, at least you’re not in it alone.

7. You Can Disconnect from the World
Sundays are the one time when you can go the day without your phone and not miss something important. When you disconnect, you can focus all of your attention on the other person. Disconnecting solo has his perks, but is definitely not as fun.

8. Errands Are Less Tedious
If you didn’t get all of your errands done on Saturday, at least you have a partner in crime right there with you to laugh and joke around with and to share an order of Harvey’s onion rings with at Home Depot.

9. Family Dinners Are Better
If either of your respective parents is keen on Sunday family dinners, at least you have you significant other there as a buffer once the baby and marriage talk starts.
