Highly Anticipated Hotspot École Privée Will Open its Doors on The Main This Weekend

What once used to be the stomping grounds of Wood 35 on 3500 Boulevard St.Laurent, is now transforming into École Privée.

If you haven’t heard about this brand new endeavor from some of Montreal’s coolest cats, you’ve clearly been hiding under a rock (or just binding on Netflix) for way too long.

The dream team behind the new nightclub consists of Zach Macklovitch and Nathan Gannage (Saintwoods, Suwu, and Apt. 200), Brooke Walsh (CODA Nightlife group, formerly of le Belmont), Leighton James (1/2 of superstar DJ duo Adventure Club), David Dayan (Ryu), Alex Besnard and Patrick Hetu (A5 Management), Nic Urli (Flyjin, Jatoba, Hà, Velvet Speakeasy), and Marc O. Benatar (Flyjin, Jatoba).

What a group.

No wonder people have been anticipating this for months.

École’s concept is all about being a proper nightclub, geared at mixing music, fashion, and art with an amazing party and a great ambiance.

The attention to detail at École is impressive. From the quality of their Funktion-One sound system (one of the top sound systems in the world) to the beautifully detailed and exciting design which delivers a modern and cutting edge mix of French fashion alongside classic Baroque pieces and details.

The design, which was a collaborative effort between some of the top talent in Montreal nightlife, was brought to fruition by Camilla Morera and Vince Tsang (the creative director of Montreal based lifestyle brand Dime).

Curious as to what it looks like? Of course you are. Stay patient though, the guys are purposely not revealing too much because they want you to experience the final product in person.

École Privée will officially open this Friday and Saturday from 9 pm until 3 am, but you can expect more nights and special events sooner rather than later.
