Your Daily Dose of Anxiety: Extreme ‘Phone Pinching’ is a Thing

Get ready to have a mild anxiety attack.

‘Extreme iPhone pinching’ is now a thing – and it’s not for the faint of heart.

The whole thing involves dangling your iPhone over risky drops (like grates, elevator shafts, and the ground below) for the sheer adrenaline rush of gambling with your most trusted accessory – that pretty much contains your whole life. Picture the tech equivalent of the extreme shots you see of (clearly crazy) people on the ledges of bridges, cliffs, or buildings.

You can give credit to Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of pop group Twenty One Pilots, who ‘invented’ the practice. The pair have posted a series of themselves in all their iPhone pinching glory to Vine, where the clips have attracted a growing number of attention.

If you’re looking for some thrills and accompanying social media material, you may want to try it – just make sure you have the cash to replace your phone just in case. And the time to replace your life.

In the meantime, check out this video and just try not to cringe.
