WORK

Describe what you do in less than 140 characters. Go.
I am the owner of Petit Lapin, an allergy-free, gluten-free, and vegan bakery in Montreal. I’m also the mother of two little boys.

What was the inspiration for your career route?
I was initially a notary. However, the day I found out that my son had more than 30 food allergies, I decided to open an allergy-free bakery. It became a safe place as I could bring him without ever worrying. I also wanted to make him happy by choosing from a variety of desserts with no restrictions. It was also a goal to share my sweets with other allergic people, especially kids.

What is the most memorable milestone in your career so far?
I would say it was when I got the call last summer to prepare more than 3000 cupcakes for Kylie Jenner. She was in town to celebrate her birthday and we prepared and baked all these cupcakes in less than 24 hours. It turned out to be a memorable moment and such a fun experience. I believe she was very happy!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years?
I’d like for Petit Lapin to become a well-known bakery across the world. I would also like to expand, have a few franchises, and launch a book.

Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
To follow your dreams and to never be afraid. Surround yourself by amazing and supportive people. Finally, take the risk. The journey is worth it!

Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is it (or they) important to you?
I do support the Sainte-Justine Foundation. My little brother was a premature baby and Sainte-Justine handled it very well. I support the research they do and my children were also treated there for their allergies.

What does the word notable mean to you?
Someone or something that stands out, that is important, and might have a big impact on the world.
