Toronto’s Best Indian Food As Voted by You

And the winner is…

Banjara Indian Cuisine.

While the “Other” category had more aggregate votes, no single restaurant racked up as many nods as Banjara. With two great locations boasting speedy service and great pricing, celebrity status butter chicken, and maybe the biggest, fluffiest naan in town, Banjara is our gold medalist.

However, right on its heels was east-end favourite Lahore Tikka House, which is perhaps the most bare-bones authentic Indian eating experience you’ll find in Toronto. Neck and neck in 3rd and 4th were the “higher end” Host Fine Indian Cuisine and the vegan-friendly Udupi Palace.

Notable entries through the “Other” category were modern twist Pukka, the recently re-opened Sher-E-Punjab on Danforth, and Yorkville’s Utsav.

Below you’ll find a naan-chart that breaks down all the votes. Take a look, and if you disagree with what you see, let us know in the comment section. Or, next time, avoid bad korma and just vote…
