These Are the Most Consumed Beers in the World By Country

Online wine resource Vinepair.com recently created a map to determine the most popular beer in every country in the world.

Consulting dozens of sources, from research reports to corporate filings, they’ve managed to figure out the most consumed beer in over 100 countries. Despite most beers on the map sharing the same owner, you’ll notice most countries have an affinity to indulge in their respective national variety – even if it’s only marketed as such.

Oh, except Canada.

We can’t get enough of Budweiser, apparently – as deep an abomination to our national identity as Nelly Furtado’s ‘O Canada’. Keep in mind that this is a popularity contest, not necessarily an indication of a country’s favourite.

Still…Budweiser!? For shame, Canada. For shame.
