The Twitter Homepage Got a Much-Needed, Visually Pleasing Makeover

Twitter introduced a new homepage yesterday that will display curated tweets and trending topics covering everything from entertainments to breaking news.

The purpose of this the overhaul is to attract new users and get rid of the plain login and sign up buttons that were there previously.

It will also give new users a glimpse as to what kind of feeds and tweets they can expect, which in turn might persuade them to sign up and follow their favourite personalities from various categories including celebrities, sports, brands, etc.

The new look also gives an idea of what Twitter is all about, something that may be a little hard to determine for first-time visitors to the service.

With other competing social networks boasting significantly more users – Facebook has 1.5 billion monthly users in comparison to Twitter’s 304 million – it only makes sense that a makeover finally happened.
