The Search is On: There is a $1000 Token Hidden in Toronto Right Now

Could you use an extra $1000?

We’re pretty sure we all could.

If you’re also looking for something to do this weekend, you’re (hopefully) in luck. And no, we’re not trying to recruit you for a weekend gig.

Apparently, someone is leaving tokens hidden in locations across Toronto – and they can be redeemed for $1000 cash a piece. That is, if you can find them.

The tokens could literally be anywhere – under a bench, attached to a fountain or a statue, on the back of a street sign, in a parking lot, or somewhere in the depths of the TTC.  To find them, all you have to do is follow a set of clues and commit to the task. To participate in the project, aptly named Rich in the Six, you need to go to the website and wait for clues.

If you find a token, all you have to do is go to the site and input the token’s secret number.

But before you go ambitiously spending the cash before you have it, you may want to keep in mind that there’s only one token hidden each month. And it could be anywhere in the Toronto area.

Apparently, the project is looking to begin in other cities as well.

The first token was found last night, so this is for real people.
