The CNE is back with another round of (heart stopping) deliciousness.
So let us take you through the borderline insane options available at The Ex this year.
Should you choose to indulge, you might want to take a trip to the doctor post fair to ensure you haven’t already developed diabetes.
Seriously, one bite of some of these might require an entire bottle of Tums.
THANKSGIVING STUFFED WAFFLE
Like the (ill-fated) cronut burger, Nutella BBBLT, and deep fried butter in the years previous, this Fran’s concoction is making the biggest buzz at the fair this year. The cranberry stuffing waffle is filled with roast turkey, mashed potatoes, green onions, gravy, and cranberries.
MAPLE TOAST BREAD BOXES
Yes, this is another option care of good old Fran’s in their first attempt at taking on CNE’s infamous Food Building. Deep fried slices of thick egg bread doused in maple syrup and stuffed with sausage, bacon, and egg. Can you say all-day breakfast…
These spicy peanut butter bites come with their very own hashtag so you can brag to your friends on Twitter, #eatemifyoudare. You’ve been warned.
Yes, milkshakes blended with apple pie. Or you can opt for yours blended with carrot cake, brownies, or cheesecake. Yum.
A chocolate bar baked inside a croissant. Need we say more?
This chocolate dipped frozen banana surpasses anything the Bluth’s ever came up with, seeing as it’s also dipped in funnel cake batter and then deep fried.
CHOCOLATE FRIED CHICKEN
Because the only thing that could make something as great as fried chicken even better, is, of course – chocolate.
Hula Girl Espresso has decided to add a hunk of butter to this caffeinated option, because why not make something that’s not too terrible for you, really terrible for you.
Far East Taco is serving up these Asian buns layered in marshmallows, chocolate, hazelnut, sweet milk cream and crushed graham crackers.
ELVIS GRILLED CHEESE
All of The King’s favourite foods wrapped into one sandwich. That is, take a grilled cheese, add peanut butter, bacon, and bananas.
BACON WRAPPED CORN
No explanation needed. Two please.
