Stephen Colbert Will Host an Unbelievable Line-Up During His First Week on The Late Show

If for some reason you weren’t planning to tune into Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show when it premieres on September 8, the recently announced line-up of guests spanning the first week should be enough to convince you otherwise.

Opting for a tantalizing mix of newsworthiness, intellect, talent and star power, Colbert will interview some of the biggest influencers in the world across all imaginable industries. On top of inviting musicians to perform on a nightly basis, Colbert will also interview them during the segment.

The following guests have been confirmed for week one:

Sept. 8:
Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, actor George Clooney, rapper Kendrick Lamar

Sept. 9:
Actress Scarlett Johansson, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk

Sept. 10:
Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, country star Toby Keith

Sept. 11:
Actress Amy Schumer, author Stephen King, unknown Paul Simon tribute band Troubled Waters

Even more exciting is that, unlike most late night shows, Colbert will inject a degree of substance and intelligence to his interviews.

We’re counting down the days.
