Some of Vancouver’s Medical Marijuana Consultations Take Just 1 Minute

It’s no secret Vancouver is Canada’s greenest city.

And a recent report by the CBC’s fifth estate re-affirmed why we call it the Amsterdam of Canada, shining light on the fact that many specialty stores in YVR are selling weed masked by the government-approved system meant to limit marijuana sales by medicinal use only.

A quick consultation in one of these shops grants patrons a membership that allows for unlimited cannabis access, a privilege the fifth estate’s Mark Kelley was able to obtain in just 65 seconds.

Though it’s illegal for these dispensaries which now outnumber Tim Horton’s locations in Vancouver  to sell marijuana so openly, Vancouver Police have decided to turn a blind eye to the practice unless the herb is sold to minors or is causing a nuisance.

Which is to say: it’s pretty much legal.

Considering one quick-witted entrepreneur already generated $1 million by creating Canada’s first marijuana vending machine, the plant’s potential as an economic powerhouse is probably of much higher value to Canada than it is in its current, oddly configured de-facto state.
