Stewart let it slip in today’s taping that he would be leaving his place behind the satirical and now iconic Comedy Central’s World News Headquarters desk on The Daily Show.
As with all truths, it wasn’t long until this one officially came out.
Comedy Central soon followed up the rumours with an formal notice, crushing comedy (and news) fans around the world with the cold hard fact:
Jon is leaving us.
And we’ll never know what’s happening around the world in quite the same way ever again.
