Stars love to take risks, especially when it comes to fashion. But this year’s Grammys featured more flat fashion flops than sartorial high notes. Since music and fashion are so intertwined these days, seeing the red carpet get-ups are almost as entertaining as the actual award show. Here are last night’s red carpet disasters…
1. Madonna
French maid meets pixie exotic dancer; Madonna shouldn’t be doing any “Vogue”-ing in this number.
2. Rihanna
Rihanna resembles one of those frightening Tonka cupcake dolls from the ’90s. What’s she hiding under her umbrella dress?
3. Kim Kardashian
To us, this just looks like a sparkly bathrobe that Kanye forces Kim to wear around the house.
4. Chris Brown
If Dennis Rodman and Yoko Ono had a child, we think they would look like this.
5. Ciara
Ciara needs to one, two, step on off the red carpet in this dress.
6. Usher
We are just as uncomfortable with Usher’s outfit choice as he must feel in it. A twisted collar dress shirt?
7. Charli XCX
We’re honestly just confused with this one…
8. Katharine McPhee
We love this dress – for a girls’ night out at the club.
9. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert
Miranda wore what looks to us like a pink bra strap hanging out of what could have been a beautiful, classic black dress, and Blake seemed to just throw on an old pair of flared jeans, cowboys boots and an ill-fitting vest and t-shirt under a blazer.
10. Joy Villa
We can’t quite wrap our heads around who decided it was okay for Joy to wear an orange snow fence to the Grammys.
11. Kelly Osbourne
For someone who has a show called Fashion Police, we are confused as to why Kelly decided to bring her pet fish out of water and then drown herself in a head-to-toe polka dot applique dress.
12. Sia
At least she didn’t have to do her make up last night…
