On Friday night, Canada’s artistic elite turned out in style for one of this year’s most notable fundraisers, Operation 8: A Muse Ball.
Women came dressed in chic designer gowns and men donned their finest attire for a night of glitz and glamour in the glorious surroundings of the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts, all in support of the Canadian Opera Company. One of the highlights of the night was a phenomenal performance by internationally-renowned singer/songwriter Rufus Wainright, who managed to bring the three levels of the magnificent glass building to a standstill with his mesmerizing voice.
Following Wainright’s epic performance, it was time for Canadian dance/pop band Austra to hit the stage, and they made an equally big impression on the crowd with their lively performance.
Guests were spoiled for choice when it came to the fine food and drink on offer at the event; fabulous cocktails, glorious cheese plates and speciality popcorn were just some of the to-die-for nibbles.
The Hello! Canada novelty photobooth, which gave guests an opportunity to appear on the front cover of the magazine, turned out to be a major hit, as was the Calvin Klein Euphoria lounge – little wonder considering the presence of a couple attractive models.
After indulging in some fine food and frolics, guests took to the dance floor for the remainder of the night and the party continued into the wee hours of the morning.
