Elevator Pitch: Describe your job in a nutshell.
We design, market and sell our line of unique, stunning jewelry for women to buy for themselves – “exclusive enough to covet, priced so you can love it.”
Why did you start working at your company? What was the inspiration for this career route?
We were personal shoppers for several years during which time we realized that there was a huge void in the accessories market for ‘real’, everyday jewelry. Having designed a line of earrings at just 16 and 17 years old, which were sold in Le Chateau stores across Canada, and having our own renovation company years later, we definitely had a knack and love for creative design. This made the shift from personal shoppers to jewelry designers very natural… and the rest is history!
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Being a global brand.
What does success look like to you?
A loyal following of women, loving and wearing our jewels enough to pass them down to their children and to their children’s children. All of that, plus maintaining a beautiful and loving home for our family and kids first and foremost.
What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
There have been many incredible moments with stores and celebrities that we will never forget, but we want to share this one: Our manufacturers saying to us on a regular basis that they will never be able to thank us enough for supporting the Canadian economy by continuing to be proudly Canadian-made.
Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Never give up and stay focused. Look at your competition, and know that they are there but don’t allow it to rule you. There is room for everybody. We are always very supportive of the success of others.
Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
We have always supported various charities over the years. This has been a huge priority for us and we are particularly interested in charities that help kids.
What to you is notable?
Something or someone so wonderful that they are worth talking or reading about. We would like to say that if you have taken even one moment to read about us today, then we are touched and we feel very NOTABLE!
