Always keen to freshen up our home and office space come autumn, we’ve been curious to learn more about decor shop West Elm, which is set to open imminently along South Granville Street.
This Brooklyn-based store (with 41 retail stores across North America) is renowned for pieces featuring clean lines, globally influenced designs, interesting textures and affordable eco-friendly stylings that we think are perfect for modern young professionals looking to up the ante on their everyday at-home look. This new shop has us excited indeed.
In keeping with their commitment to being eco-friendly, West Elm has designed its newest Canadian store using low-energy lighting, reclaimed fixtures and green materials, and will also keep all inventory on-site for a swift and easy purchase process that eliminates any extra travel. Throughout the store, they’ll feature an increased number of ‘West Elm Green’ labelled products that indicate organic, recycled and non-toxic items, which we think is definitely worth noting.
The South Granville location is the second one to open in Canada and boasts a wide array of interesting furnishings and accents that ought to compliment our West Coast style, made even more unique through their new partnership with the popular craft-centric Etsy. As part of this collaborative endeavour, West Elm Vancouver has chosen to work with and support local artists, and will offer a selection of unique creations, art and accessories in-store as part of this inaugural project. West Elm Vancouver will also include its first-ever ‘Mix & Match’ collection of dining pieces, allowing customers enhanced creative control when it comes to creating a fresh ‘look’ for their home space.
In addition to this, West Elm Vancouver will also be bringing a bit of Africa to the design table, featuring unique works of more than a dozen different South African design talents guaranteed to spice things up.
