John Fluevog Shoes are renowned the world over for their effortlessly stylish designs and trend-setting greatness. So it should come as no surprise, then, that Calgary young professionals are more than a little, shall we say, excited that John Fluevog Shoes will have a new space to call home at 207 8th Avenue SW. (That’s two doors west of Betsy Johnson for those shopaholics out there.)
John Fluevog shoes was originally founded as Fox & Fluevog in 1970, and became the brand we now know and love in 1980 when Peter Fox left the company to open his own store; subsequently “Fox” was dropped from the namesake. Since then, Fluevog Shoes have built a reputation for being some of the world’s most distinctive and fashion-forward footwear, with designs that run the gamut from sophisticated business to trendy hipster.
The new Calgary location should sate even the hungriest fashionable young professionals’ appetite for quality kicks. As of right now it’s slated for a July 1st opening, but we’ll be able to cement that closer to launch date.
