On Our Radar: Pai

You’re going to eat here.

Trust us. Janet Zuccarini’s involved. And while you may not know it, Zuccarini’s behind Toronto hotspots Gusto 101 and Trattoria Nervosa. Owning Yorkville and King West just isn’t enough for everyone, though, so this time around she’s teamed up with husband and wife duo Nuit and Jeff Regular (formally of Khao San Road and currently of Sukhothai and Sabai Sabai Kitchen and Bar) to open up a new Northern Thai restaurant in the home of what for years was a Golden Griddle (18 Duncan St.).

Talk about an upgrade for the Entertainment District.

While details on the new spot have been tight, their Facebook page describes the city of Pai as a “magical place in Northern Thailand.” And based on who’s involved, we’re willing to bet that when they open their doors for a soft opening this Friday (dinner service only; lunch starts next week), Toronto’s going to discover it’s own magical place.
