On Our Radar: East Thirty Six

The team that brought you Boutique Bar on Church St. is opening up a swank new restaurant on Wellington St. E. We featured Chef Brent Maxwell a couple of weeks ago and his impressive culinary resume (sous chef at Toronto’s Square, Canoe, and Biff’s; Chef de Cuisine at Luma and Spencer’s at the Waterfront in Burlington) has us very excited to see what’s in store at East Thirty-Six (36 Wellington Street East).

Co-owner and Mixologist Julien Salomone is creating a beverage menu that places a heavy focus on craftsmanship. Look for house-infused liquors and syrups, classic recipes, contemporary concoctions, and interesting flavour profiles.

East Thirty-Six will be open daily from 4pm to late. The aesthetic will be a combination of modern décor fused with old school Hollywood glam and the plates will feature shareable dishes intended to cater to the after-work crowd. The drinks, on the other hand, you definitely don’t have to split with anyone.

Official grand opening is on Thursday, March 27th. Stay tuned.
