Last week, YYC Movember committee members hosted the first ever Oil Rig Rumble Wrap-up Party.
The Oil Rig Rumble Network, a new initiative that launched in Calgary this year, brought together those within the oil and gas industry to see how much money could be raised collectively while having some fun and getting in a little networking.
The wrap-up party was held at Spur Gastro-pub in the heart of Calgary’s corporate core. Guests mingled, compared mos and checked out the silent auction items as they sipped complimentary Movember Rickards. Those in attendance were also eligible for amazing door prizes courtesy of some of the city’s best restaurants and bars, the Calgary Flames, and various other YYC organizations.
Of course the highlight was during the speeches where it was announced that in the first year, the Oil Rig Rumble Network is the leading network in the world with a total of $600,000 raised (before company matchings).
