Now Open: Skin and Bones Wine Bar

Nestled on the corner of Queen and Carlaw you’ll find the newly opened Skin + Bones Wine Bar… a restaurant that is quickly becoming a staple in the area – even though its tenure is still infantile.

Skin + Bones Wine Bar features the culinary offspring of Chef Matthew Sullivan – formerly of Malena in Yorkville. Co-owned by Daniel Clarke and Harry Wareham (both having previous involvement in such spots as Enoteca Sociale and and Pizzeria Libretto), this new hotspot eagerly snatched up the ticketed blogosphere’s praise, and in the few weeks since opening have attracted a vast array of clientele often too content to stay west of the DVP.

There is a heavy focus on wine – obviously – and the vino pairs masterfully with the dishes sent forth by Sullivan’s kitchen. Chicken and wine (essentially coq au vin), celeriac gnocchi, squid noodles, and beef cheek bourgignon are just a few of the menu items from the small selection of eats that are created with the ideals of wine pairings in mind.

Skin + Bones Wine Bar is located at 980 Queen Street East.
