16th Annual Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF) (November 1 – 4)
Get cinematically cultured this weekend and celebrate the 16th Annual  VAFF featuring 40 films by Canadian and American-Asian filmmakers. Screenings range from documentaries to shorts and full feature-length films at the International Village Cinemas (88 W. Just opened: El Azteca Modern Tequila Lounge (1130 Mainland Street)
The owners of popular Mexican hot spot Don Guacamole`s have recently shifted gears, revamped and reopened at a new Yaletown location. Look for their signature, popular share plates featuring authentic Mexican fixings, a fresh selection of cocktails and (of course) plenty of Tequila in a laid-back lounge-y atmosphere.

SYNDICATED: Motionball Gala 2012 (November 3rd)
Put your Prohibition-era party dress on and be sure to head out to show your support for the Special Olympians of Canada. This premiere charity gala is gearing up to bring back the 1930s Speakeasy vibe this year and is one of the largest charity events for young professionals in Vancouver (and across Canada).
