The Eastside Flea Market (1882 Adanac Street)
This Saturday, head to Wise Hall and check out the goods at this brand new monthly flea market taking over East Van. You’ll find an extensive array of antiques, vintage goods, crafts, art and plenty of other gems. Admission is only $1 and it’s a great way to meet like-minded thrifty hipsters in the hood. Music Waste 2013 (Friday, June 7)
Be sure to sign up and partake in the return of Music Waste, an independent cultural festival celebrating an eclectic mix of artists throughout Vancouver. This event spans across various mediums, featuring up and coming bands, a series of art exhibitions at independent galleries around town, and even pop-up comedy acts, sketch artists and improv groups to entertain. All are kept within an easy walking distance to keep the flow going. Tickets are $15 and you’ll have the chance to see nearly 100 different participating acts. Dishcrawl: A Taste of Vancouver’s West End (June 19, various venues)
Coming up on June 19th starting at 7pm is Vancouver’s Dishcrawl, which will have ticketholders on a West End culinary adventure. These events sell out in advance (there are less than 20 remaining) so don’t wait. SOMM premieres at The Rio Theatre (June 11, 7pm)

Head to The Drive for a day living la dolce vita courtesy of the various Italian-owned businesses and vendors who call the area home. With everything from fashion to food, to art, history and culture explored, Italian Day on the Drive is definitely a party you’ll want to check out. Sample your way through the city’s ‘Little Italy’ indulging in classic Italian fare. New this year, festival organizers are presenting the famous ‘Carevale di Venezia’ (channelling Venice in true style complete with costumed performers, masks and more).
