Head down to BC Place this weekend and check out this popular show that brings the culinary world together. EAT! Vancouver (777 Pacific Blvd.) is a weekend-long show featuring celebrity chefs, top local restaurants, wine and craft beer tastings, cookbook authors, retailers, culinary artisans, food samples and plenty more. EAT! Vancouver gives visitors the unique chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it truly takes to create culinary magic courtesy of chef demonstrations, competitions, exhibits, shopping and much more to tempt your palate in the kitchen.

Just opened: Nuba (Kitsilano location)
Celebrating the much-anticipated opening of their Kitsilano location, just in time for summer picnics and lazy days, Nuba (3116 West Broadway Avenue) has arrived.  This latest branch of the popular Lebanese hotspot has finally brought its authentic Lebanese cuisine to the city’s Westside.

Tofino Wine Festival (June 1st to June 3rd)
Celebrating its 9th year, this festival brings together the best of BC wines, local cuisine and culinary talents in the picturesque Tofino Botanical Gardens and surrounding venues. It offers a perfect excuse to hop aboard a quick flight or ferry to the island.  The festival boasts plenty to see and do all weekend, including winemakers dinners, special cocktail tastings, live music and more, with proceeds going to help support various non-profit organizations in the area.

Fab Fair (June 2nd and 3rd)
This event is celebrating its 7th year and will return with a signature eclectic mix of locally crafted jewellery, clothing, belts, accessories, handbags and plenty more.  Test out natural beauty products and makeup while you score great deals. HSBC City of Bhangra Festival (May 31 to June 10)
This always-popular festival is set to celebrate its 8th year and just might be one of the biggest cultural events of spring 2012. With a line-up that includes more than 14 different independent events, international artists from the U.K, India and New York, as well as hundreds of performers, free concerts and more, it’s a definite must do.

Earth Run (June 3rd)
Join the masses for a great cause and take part in Earth Run alongside participants from across North America. This 5 and 10 km run will help raise money for environmentally conscious, green organizations such as the David Suzuki Foundation and Surfrider Foundations. Earth Run takes place alongside Jericho Beach.
