Pemberton Valley Music Festival (Pemberton, BC)
This weekend, grab your best festival and camping gear and head about 20 minutes north of Whistler to hit up this multi-day festival in the gorgeous Pemberton Valley. Prepare to be seriously entertained with performances by the likes of Outkast, Violent Femmes, Nine Inch Nails, Flaming Lips, the one and only Snoop, comedic performances by Bob Saget, and plenty more. Pop by one of Vancouver’s newest cocktail taverns (brought to life by Audrey Durbach and Chris Stewart). With a central location making it an easy walk from work, head over for classic and comfortable food and drinks at their expansive bar or grab a table in their main dining room. Free Yoga at Kits Beach (Friday, 7-8pm)
Grab your mat and stretchy gear and head down to Kitsilano Beach for a free yoga session (Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the end of August). It’s part of the Kits Space Project , an innovative program that aims to bring the community together through social programs and activities. Best part: it’s free, so be sure to claim your spot and get ready to get limber.

Food Cart Fest (July 13th, 215 W. 1st Ave)
Food Cart Fest is definitely a stop worth making at False Creek’s Olympic Village. On from 12pm-5pm every Sunday throughout the summer, this festival gathers over 20 of Vancouver’s top food carts presented by Arrival and The Streetfood Vancouver Society.  It’s a full afternoon of food, fun, and sun complemented by community markets, live music and DJs, craft food vendors, live entertainment activities and more. Pride Cocktail Kickoff (Friday, July 18)
Get ready to kickoff the upcoming Vancouver Pride Festival taking place later this month by stopping by the Loden Hotel this Friday night. Sip in style as you celebrate a great cause and savour the city scene from the Loden Hotel’s penthouse patio.  Tickets are $135 and funds raised go to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation. Plan ahead: The 6th Annual Deighton Cup (Saturday, July 26)
