After months of pressure from devoted fans, The Black Hoof has re-opened The Hoof Cafe. Well, sort of. In the space that now house’s Hoof Raw Bar (926 Dundas Street West), you can indulge in the famed Hoof Cafe brunch from Thursday through Sunday at a permanent ‘pop-up’, where nose-to-tail dining is given its just rewards.

We’ve a new late-night snack bar on Queen West (at 1168) that should put a smile on all our faces. Happy Child opened recently to the delight of diners looking for a bar with some nibblies. The menu will change consistently, with app-size plates ranging from sammies to risotto to anything Chef Fan Zhang can think of.
