Pizzeria Libretto on the Danforth
The Danforth location of Pizzeria Libretto opened on Monday, after months of patient waiting by anxiously obsessive fans of the Neapolitan-styled joint. Don’t expect that this second location will do anything to ease getting a spot in the restaurant; instead chances are a new crop of thin-crust lovers who’ve yet to test Libretto’s deliciousness will emerge from the saucy depths. 550 Danforth Avenue.

The Construction Site
At Notable we’ve been anxiously awaiting the opening of CHEESEWERKS for months now, but edging in prior to its launch is new Yonge and Eglinton grilled cheesery Construction Site. Serving nothing but modern takes on everyone’s favourite childhood classic, this new spot – which opened yesterday – will have a rotating menu of updated selections and boasts a bright and ‘diner chic’ interior. 2200 Yonge Street.

Kingpin’s Hideaway
Sorry ladies this one’s for the fellas, or rather, the gentlemen. Vintage collector Jonathon Hagey opened up a pop-up ‘gentlemenswear’ shop underneath Cabaret boutique on Queen West just about a week ago. The short-term destination – it will be open for one month only – sells gentlemanly wear and accoutrements that will have any kingpin decidedly dapper. 672 Queen Street West.

Fork U
While cacophonously named, Fork U is a ditty of an initiative that brings together some of the city’s top chefs under one roof to support Project Engagement’s Holiday Food Drive. Musik Nightclub is the destination to sample some culinary feats and fine wines on November 30th, where you’ll satisfy your palette while satiating your need to be charitable.

One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale
The One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale is back and we can’t wait to get our hands on some artisan goods. This semi-annual event – there’s also the One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale – sees over 800 exhibitors out with their custom-made wares ready to dazzle onlookers and shopaholics alike. Indie fashions, amazing preserves, and unique furniture and accoutrements abound at this event, on from the 24th to December 1st at the Direct Energy Centre.

Mistletoe Ball
It’s back and ready for your ’embrace’. The Mistletoe Ball will deck the halls at the Four Seasons Hotel on December 3rd in support of the Herbie Fund at Sick Kids Hospital. Imbibe in sublime bevvies while rubbing elbows with some of Toronto’s most notable tastemakers and dining on a fantastic foodie spectacle. Live entertainment and a silent auction will ensue, with all funds raised benefiting the Herby Fund.
