Tony Benett: August 24, Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium

Expo Latino: August 24 – 26
Western Canada’s largest Latin festival will be taking place over the weekend at Prince’s Island Park. The stage will be sizzling with world-class performances of music and dance. Aviation Calgary Expo: August 25 + 26
Curious about all things aviation? This weekend the Aviation Calgary Expo will be taking place at the Aero Space Museum Association of Calgary (4629 McCall Way NE). The weekend will be full of aviation shows, events, entertainment, food, education and more. Watch a rare plane take flight over the city and see a number of aircrafts on display up close.
Calgary Dragonboat Race and Festival: August 25 + 26
Geared towards creating an unforgettable experience, this event will attract over 900 competitors. Stemmed by a 2000-year-old Chinese legend, Dragon Boat Racing is still very active and remains a tradition for many. Head to North Glenmore Park
(7305 Crowchild Tr. SW) to see the reservoir filled with the colourful dragon-decorated boats, each in pursuit of triumph.
Super-Bowl – The Lawnbowling Tournament: August 26
Looking to have a little fun outdoors? Analog, Gravis, Frends and Groupseven present this exciting and fun-filled lawnbowling tournament. Taking place from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Inglewood Lawnbowling Club (1235 8 Ave SE), there will be a free BBQ and prizes for the best teams and best shots of the day. Register your group of four and throw a of couple balls for fun.
Alley Party: August 30
Looking to rock out to some great music and support Theatre Junction? The now famous Alley Party will kick off the 2012/2013 season in style at this free block party-style event.
