Don’t call it a comeback…call it the best idea of all time.
This is a win-win-win if we’ve ever seen one.
We, the people, get back our beloved satirical god back. Stewart gets to bring his brand to yet another very serious situation that is guaranteed to deliver real-time results. And the candidates would actually have to give real answers to real questions.
Okay, so maybe it’s just a win-win, but still, this should be on everyone’s wish list for American Presidential run. So don’t get all this-doesn’t-matter-to-me-because-I’m-Canadian on us and pretend that the next POTUS won’t have a profound affect on the future of our country. Don’t those of us paying attention to politics deserve at least one shot to have someone have their say who’s actually able to cut through the sh*t?
Well, we think so.
Not to mention, this is the only thing that would ever make us hope (and even then, just barely) for Trump to be the Republican candidate.
The current Change.org petition has 185K signatures, and you can make it one more right here if you think Stewart is the right man for the job. Though there’s no word yet whether or not Stewart would agree to host a debate, but we like to think that if this petition got into the millions he’d at least have to start playing host to the idea…
