Una Pizza and Wine (618 – 17 Ave SW) is one of those places where a good time is always guaranteed. Busy as soon as they open the door, the room is often full of Calgary’s coolest young professionals and you are bound to run into someone you know…and if you don’t know anyone there, you can always make new contacts.
The style of the room – long and narrow with closely-situated tables and fun art plastered to the walls – and the diners – some the city’s best eclectic fashionistas/os – makes you think of groovy little spots you would find in cities like LA or NYC. You can tell that although they take their food seriously, they do so without pretension. (A notable fact we love.)

Or take a seat at the bar and watch masters at work as you indulge in oysters and champagne – join in Fridays from 3 to 5pm during the summer and receive happy hour pricing on both.
In keeping with their modern vibe, the Una Pizza and Wine team has also embraced a new way of communicating with patrons. Well known in the Twitterverse, they are pros at keeping Calgary’s young professionals in-the-know of what’s happening. Una does not take reservations, but if you follow them on Twitter, they’ll tweet throughout the day wait times, when tables become available, and anything else exciting happening at Una.
