Jelly Modern Doughnuts, a Calgary-based doughnut shop that launched in 2011, has made it’s way east to our fair city, setting up on College Street. Why’s it so notable? How does Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla sound as a dough-ring flavour…?
This new joint boasts innovative tastes aplenty, and it’s an apt time to open the shop, what with the success of Food Network’s Doughnut Showdown. Sidle on up to a seat and indulge in whatever your heart fancies. Like chocolate? They use ultra-premium brand Callebaut. Does summer make you think of campfires and cottaging? Grab a S’mores donut, shut your eyes, and imagine you’re on a dock, taking in the sunset as a warm summer breeze kisses your face.
Jelly Modern Doughnut is here to stay… unfortunately we can’t say that about our waist size.
