Must Attend: Soiree Contact Supporting The Next Generation of Dancers

Here is a wonderful opportunity to get immersed in the art of dance the young professional way: BJM, Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, an internationally recognized company renowned for its bold, surprising and sensual choreography and its Comité Relève, are hosting the Soirée CONTACT event this Saturday, November 9th. So what can you expect while attending? A wonderfully artistic and striking evening held in the gorgeous Gaston Miron building.

Under the artistic direction of Baillat-Cardell & Fils, the gala will be full of surprise presentations, with performances by BJM dancers set to the music of DJs Vincent Lemieux and Jean-Sébastien Baillat. The evening will start with a VIP cocktail, where guests will be treated to a performance by the thirteen (13) BJM dancers while enjoying an open bar concept and inspired food and cocktails from catering partner Tripes & Caviar.

As the night unfolds, the dance floor will open up for the guests to mingle and celebrate with BJM dancers, bid on a silent auction offering a wide selection of prizes, and watch over other exclusive performances, integrating various innovative art forms including music performances, video projections, physical installations and much more.

To contribute to the growth and development of BJM and to its cultural and social mission, 11 young professionals from diverse backgrounds established the Comité Relève of BJM to be able to really connect this generation to the art of dance. The most notable part? All funds raised at the Soirée Contact are destined for the Eva von Genscy Scholarship, a BJM initiative dedicated to providing advanced training to promising young dancers by means of a professional internship with the company.
